Place Calls

To place a call:

  1. Locate the Report Toolbar.
  2. Click the Outbound Call icon and enter the phone number or select a user from the list.
  3. If you want to specify an outside (external) location, then enter the telephone number of the outside party.
    Note: On most PBX-orientated telephone system platforms for outside number destinations, you don’t have to prepend the number with a dial prefix such as "9". This is automatically added by the application for telephone numbers longer than 5 digits when submitting the request via the telephone system, provided however that the administrator has correctly configured the dial prefix list against the application's appropriate telephone system entry.
  4. Click OK to submit the request. The request may fail if the call state has changed at the corresponding device by the time the corresponding action is submitted to the telephone system. Alternatively, click the Cancel button to close the Telephone Number Destination window without performing any call control action.

Your appearance changes to ringing in the displayed report if one is open.
