Introduction

Administrators can assign and manage the music or announcements that callers hear while on hold. The system default audio may be used, or a custom file can be uploaded.


1.

Create a Music On Hold Profile

To add a music on hold profile, follow these steps:

  1. From the dashboard, under Group Services, select Music On Hold.
  2. To create a new music on hold profile, click the Add icon.
  1. Select the Department to assign.
  2. Enable or disable music on hold during any of the following situations by checking the appropriate checkbox:
    • Enable During Call Hold
    • Enable During Call Park
    • Enable During Busy Camp On
  3. Click Save.

Edit a Music On Hold Profile

To edit a music on hold profile, follow these steps:

  1. From the dashboard, under Group Services, select Music On Hold.
  2. Select the desired profile from the list.
  3. Modify the following features as desired:
    • Settings - Click the Edit icon to enable or disable music on hold During Call Hold, During Call Park, During Busy Camp On, and to set as an Alternate Source for Internal Calls. Click Save.
  1. General Audio - Click the Edit icon to configure general audio settings. Configurable settings include an Audio Codec and an Announcement Type (either System or Custom). If Custom is selected, upload an Audio File by clicking the Plus icon or use the announcement repository icon. Click Save.
  1. Internal Audio - Click the Edit icon to configure internal audio settings. Configurable settings include an Audio Codec and an Announcement Type (either System or Custom). If Custom is selected, upload an Audio File by clicking the Plus icon or use the announcement repository icon. Click Save.
